C’era da aspettarselo: il nuovo film di Lars von Trier, The House That Jack Built, era pronto a sconvolgere Cannes 2018, è così è stato! Si è tenuta ieri sera l’anteprima della pellicola durante la celebre kermesse francese, e già gli inviti destinati al pubblico riportavano la scritta “scènes violentes”. Quello che però è apparso su Twitter nelle ultime ore, va ben al di là di qualsiasi aspettativa….
Diversi giornalisti e invitati hanno infatti riportato di almeno un centinaio di persone che hanno abbandonato la sala del Gran Théâtre Lumière nel bel mezzo della proiezione, per poi lasciarsi andare a commenti decisamente agghiaccianti (etichettando il film come “disgustoso”) a causa dell’esplicita violenza raffigurata.

The House That Jack Built: le prime reazioni parlano di film “disgustoso”
The House That Jack Built, concepito originariamente come serie tv in otto puntate, seguirà le vicende di un assassino (interpretato da Dillon) raccontate esclusivamente dal suo punto di vista. Il film sarà ambientato nell’arco di 12 anni. Le riprese della pellicola si sono svolte in Svezia.
Il cast annovera anche Matt Dillon (Wayward Pines), Riley Keough (Mad Max: Fury Road), Sofie Gråbøl (The Killing), Bruno Ganz (Downfall, Unknown), Siobhan Fallon Hogan (che con Lars von Trier aveva già lavorato in Dogville e Dancer in the Dark) e Uma Thurman (Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill), che aveva già collaborato con il regista danese in Nymphomaniac del 2013.
