Nella giornata di oggi, giovedì 22 gennaio, sono state annunciate le nomination degli Oscar 2026. Pochi minuti fa, gli attori Danielle Brooks e Lewis Pullman hanno svelato le candidature della 98esima edizione degli Academy Awards, la cui cerimonia di premiazione – presentata per la seconda volta da Conan O’Brien – si svolgerà il prossimo 15 marzo.
A guidare le nomination di quest’anno troviamo I peccatori di Ryan Coogler con ben 16 candidature (superando il record precedentemente stabilito – con 14 candidature – dai film Eva contro Eva, Titanic e La La Land), seguito da Una battaglia dopo l’altra di Paul Thomas Anderson con 13 candidature. I film Frankenstein di Guillermo del Toro, Marty Supreme di Josh Safdie e Sentimental Value di Joachim Trier hanno ricevuto tutti 9 candidature, mentre 8 sono le candidature totali per Hamnet di Chloé Zhao.
La vera sorpresa di questa edizione è che Wicked – Parte 2 non ha ricevuto nessuna candidatura, mentre lo scorso anno la prima parte aveva conquistato ben 10 candidature, vincendo per i migliori costumi e la miglior scenografia.
