Attraverso il suo account Instagram, il regista Andy Muschietti ha annunciato che sono ufficialmente terminate le riprese di IT – Chapter Two, attesissimo sequel dell’adattamento cinematografico dell’omonimo romanzo di Stephen King ad opera di Andy Muschietti. Il film arriverà nelle di tutto il mondo a settembre 2019.

IT chapter 2 was an 86-day roller coaster ride. Never had so much fun making movies as this one . I had a relentless and inspired crew who believed in this adventure as much as i did and a cast that put their heart and soul behind every second of performance. A huge thank you to all of them and also to my producer and sister @barbaramus who dealt with all the shit that a production like this has reserved for producers. And last but not least , the fans who day by day boosted our spirits by reminding us how much this story means to them. Andy Muschietti annuncia ufficialmente la fine delle riprese di IT – Chapter Two
IT – Chapter Two (qui il teaser poster ufficiale) sarà diretto nuovamente da Andy Muschietti, già regista del primo film (qui la nostra recensione). Il cast del sequel annovera James McAvoy (Bill Benbrough), Bill Hader (Richie Tozier), James Ransone (Eddie Kasbrak), Jessica Chastain (Beverly Marsh), Jay Ryan (Ben Hanscom) e Andy Bean (Stanley Uris).
La Chastain e McAvoy avevano già lavorato insieme ne La Scomparsa di Eleanor Rigby; l’attrice ha già lavorato anche con Muschietti nel suo debutto alla regia, l’horror La Madre. Bill Skarsgård, Jaeden Lieberher, Finn Wolfhard, Sophia Lillis, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs e Jeremy Ray Taylor torneranno nel sequel.
Il sequel di IT arriverà al cinema il 6 settembre 2019.
