Sono state annunciate le nomination dei Golden Globes 2021, i premi assegnati annualmente ai migliori film ed ai programmi televisivi della stagione. Insieme al premio Oscar (per il cinema) e al premio Emmy (per la televisione), è il maggiore riconoscimento nel settore cinematografico e televisivo.
La 78esima edizione della cerimonia di premiazione dei Golden Globes avrà luogo il 28 febbraio 2021. Acausa dell’emergenza sanitaria in corso, sarà una cerimonia totalmente diversa rispetto alle passate edizioni. Le due conduttrice, Tina Fey e Amy Poehler, non saranno “fisicamente” vicine: di fatto, la cerimonia verrà trasmessa da due luoghi differenti, in contemporanea. Fey condurrà la serata dalla Rainboy Room del Rockefeller Center di New York City, mentre Poehler sarà presente sul palco del Beverly Hilton Hotel di Beverly Hills, in California (dove si svolge abitualmente la cerimonia).
Tra i film più nominati di quest’edizione troviamo Mank di David Fincher con 6 candidature e Il processo ai Chicago 7 di Aaron Sorkin con 5 candidature. Durante la cerimonia di premiazione, Jane Fonda e Norman Lear riceveranno rispettivamente il Cecil B. DeMille Award e il Carol Burnett Award.
